生肖
A lacquered fortune wheel of the Chinese zodiac — turn it to your birth year and read the animal, element, and fortunes written into your fate.
The zodiac year turns at Chinese New Year / 立春 Lìchūn (late Jan–mid Feb), not on 1 January. Born in that window? Tick the box and the wheel reads the previous animal.
Enter your birth year and turn the wheel. Your animal, its element, and its fortunes will be drawn onto the slip.
十二The Twelve Animals
Each year of the sixty-year cycle is guarded by one of twelve creatures, in an order fixed by legend since the Great Race. Hover a card, or tap any animal on the wheel above.
丙午The Year of the Fire Horse
A galloping 火 year — bold, fast, and impatient with hesitation.
The Fire Horse arrives once every sixty years and burns brightest of all the horses: restless, generous, headlong. Fortune favours the decisive in 2026 — start the venture, book the passage, say the thing. But Fire scorches as readily as it warms; temper speed with rest. Here is how the year turns for each of the twelve.
干支The Reckoning
How the wheel knows your fate — the mathematics of stems, branches, and the five elements.
五行 The Five Elements
Every year carries one of ten Heavenly Stems (天干), which pair into five elements — each in a yang and a yin face. Your year's stem colours your animal: a Wood Rat and a Water Rat share a creature but not a temperament.
地支 Branches & the Cycle
Twelve Earthly Branches (地支) name the animals; ten stems and twelve branches interlock into the sexagenary cycle (干支) of sixty year-names before repeating. The wheel computes your animal as (year − 4) mod 12, and its element from (year − 4) mod 10.
The friendships and feuds between signs follow two ancient patterns:
三合 — the trines. Three animals, four months apart, form a harmonious triangle: your best allies. 六冲 — the clashes. The animal directly across the wheel is your opposite — the sign to handle with care.
