SUN
A city pours itself into a single, endless afternoon.
The dark. And then — the light.
Restorations · Retrospectives · Midnight Programmes
Six restorations struck fresh for the season. Each title-designed by hand, printed in a single edition, and screened exactly as it was meant to be seen — in the dark, at scale, on a single luminous wall.
A city pours itself into a single, endless afternoon.
Champagne, betrayal, and a staircase that never ends.
Everyone in this bar is lying — including the rain.
Two lives, one timetable, and no timetable at all.
The mannequins remember every visitor.
The signal came back before we ever sent it.
Pick any open seat above — your stub prints instantly. Then give it a tear, like you mean it.
THE LUMEN opened its single screen in the autumn of 1974, in the shell of a shuttered variety theatre. We have never added a second screen and we never will. One room, one beam, one film at a time.
We programme what the multiplex forgot: restorations struck from original negatives, retrospectives of directors who deserved better, and midnight titles too strange to survive daylight. The projector is analogue when it can be, digital when it must be, and warm either way.
Members keep the light on. In return, we keep a seat for you — and the good coffee behind the bar.
