Every frame you see is a reading of the air.
There is no video here and no audio file. A lush ambient piece is synthesised live the instant you press begin — then handed, sample by sample, to an AnalyserNode. It runs a Fast Fourier Transform, splitting the signal into a spectrum of frequency bins many times a second. Those numbers are the paint.
Bass breathes the core
The lowest bins drive the diameter and heat of the central body. When the sub pulse swells, the whole bloom inhales.
Mids sculpt the petals
The arpeggio and pad energy bend the radial curve — the spectrum plotted in polar space, mirrored into a living, symmetric flower of light.
Highs ignite the motes
Filtered noise and the top octaves brighten a field of drifting particles. The shimmer you see is literally the treble.
A small orchestra of oscillators, no recordings.
The piece is a patch, not a track. Six layers evolve against each other through slow low-frequency motion, so it never quite repeats — an infinite, gently drifting sound-bath assembled from raw waveforms.
Detuned drone
Stacked oscillators tuned to an open fifth, each split into a pair a few cents apart, poured through a slowly-opening low-pass filter.
Gentle arpeggio
A soft triangle voice walks the mode, plucked note by note with a short envelope — the melody that carries the mood.
Filtered noise
White noise through a wandering band-pass — the breath and hiss that gives the room its size and its top-end sparkle.
Slow pulse
A sine an octave below the root, swelling on a tremolo LFO — the heartbeat that the core of the visual answers to.
Slow movement
Sub-hertz oscillators glide the filter cutoff and detune so the timbre is always breathing, never static.
Analyser tap
Everything meets at a master bus, tapped by the AnalyserNode. The same signal you hear is the one you watch.
Choose a mood. The key, the tempo and the palette all move.
Each mood re-tunes the instrument to a new root and mode, shifts the arpeggio's pace, and re-paints the bloom. Switch anytime — the transition is seamless.
Dusk
Rose and violet at the edge of night. The last light, held.
Rain
Silvered blue and slate. A contemplative, patient weather.
Aurora
Emerald and teal in a luminous major. Cold fire, rising.
Ember
Coal-orange and gold, a touch faster. Something still burning.
